Well the countdown begins — I have six weeks until I take to the skies and travel across the Atlantic.
This will be the start of my travel blog, where I document my experiences this summer during my History in Paris Travel Study program.
We’ve already had our orientation, so all that’s left to do now is finish the quarter at UCLA, pack my suitcases and plan my bucket list for everything I want to see in Europe.
Right now it’s hardly fathomable that I will be witnessing the Eiffel Tower in person after seeing pictures so many times. Yet everything is coming together – yesterday I booked an apartment for a long weekend I’ll be spending in London. In the past couple weeks, I’ve been ferociously downloading translation apps and trying to teach myself French via Youtube videos. Hint: I don’t recommend it.
In the meantime, on the other side of the world, I’d better prepare for my midterm. Au revoir!
